STRIKE IN FINNISH STEVEDORING SECTOR
Transport Workers’ Union AKT has announced a strike in Finland starting on Wednesday 15 February and continuing until further notice. The strike affects the whole stevedoring sector in Finland meaning that handling units cannot be accepted on Tallink Silja vessels between Finland-Estonia-Finland and Finland-Sweden-Finland. The negotiations will continue at the end of the week, and we will follow the situation and report about any changes immediately.
Please note that Tallink Silja’s vessels will operate according to normal timetable and units with drivers can be accepted on all departures.
