We would like to inform you that the Dutch government is implementing further Covid-19 restrictions for anyone entering the Netherlands. The new requirement, starting from 00:01 on 19 January 2021, states that people arriving in the Netherlands from UK or Ireland must provide proof that they have tested negative for coronavirus following a rapid test directly before departure. This new requirement also applies to freight drivers. More information about the new rule is available on the Dutch government's website here.
For the Hull to Europoort route, a test centre is in place at the Terminal in Hull port. The location details are as follows: P&O Ferries Terminal 1; Postcode: HU9 5PS. The test centre will be opened Monday to Sunday from 14:00 to 19:30.
We would like to request all freight drivers to arrive at the Hull Terminal test centre in good time before departure in order to minimise the risk of missing the sailing.
Note: The test can take up to an hour from start to finish.
In light of the new UK government requirements, we would like to inform you that freight drivers are exempt from any Covid-19 tests when travelling back from Europoort to Hull.
